De retour de vacances, un petit colis de France qui m’attend… Ca faisait longtemps que je guettais ma boite aux lettres et il est arrive a point pour Noel. Un magnifique cadeau de La Zine, d’une generosite touchante. Ces creations sont pleines de delicatesse, et cette parure colier + bague est magnifique. Merci beaucoup!

J’en profite pour vous souhaitez a toutes une tres bonne annee 2010 et vous remerciez de tous vos gentils commentaires qui me donne la peche et me motive. Merci aussi pour les tres belles rencontres et les jolis echanges realises pendant l’annee 2009!

J’ai encore pleins de choses a vous raconter notamment mon joli echange avec K-Rine, un swap home-made a venir avec Gina (je suis en retard grave!!), un projet de jupe en reflexion inspiree d’un joli tableau signe Mel’Crea et mes dernieres realisations couturesques pour Noel…

I swaped with Carole.

She wanted birth clothes for her baby boy due for August. In return, I will receive a beautiful “Funny Bag” bag and its matching hairband.

I had a huge pressure, as Carole sews beautifull clothes and accessories!! A huge pressure, and no inspiration at all for at least 2 weeks… then thankfully, one night, it suddenly clicked!

Regarding her latest creations, she seems to like brown and cream colors, dots, natural fabrics and stars.

Shhhuuuut, for the moment, it is all secret…I promise I will show you as soon as she get her package.

It is all about bags today!

(don’t ask me why…)

Then, you can have a look to Papoose website. It is an Australian based compagny who sells everything you need for felting as weel as a range of crafts made with felted wool. It is really something I would love to do, but it seems quite hard work!

You find also on their site a lot of information about felting. Definitly a must-go!

 What can be better than a bit of sun and flower to help me to support a rainy day and a depressing athmosphere at work??

Pattern : Home made (Yeeeppeee, I am so pround of meeee!!! That’s my first one!!! It is not perfect BUT that just means there are plenty of room for improvement!!)

Fabric: Light kaki dry knit from SpotLigh.

For the swap with Sandra from Scupt’Art, I sewed a sarouel for her little daughter.

First, here is the sarouel.

In black linen with red cotton flowers. I used a red waistcloth and 2 big wood pearls to attach it

Then, to go with the sarouel, here come a cute ladybird…

… on a red appron:

 Red is my favorite color, and I hope you like it too Sandra!

I really enjoyed sewing them. The pattern and tutorial are very easy to follow. I recommend them!!

Between some surfing, house cleaning, sailing, drinking, food shopping, yoga… I found a bit of time for some sewing! I had to, I have a lot of to sew before flying to France at the end of the week (ouououhhhhouh, I am sooooo excited to be in holiday soooon!!)

First, I swapped with her : a sarouel for her 2 year-old daughter vs.  gorgeous necklaces…

 Have a look on her website, she is really talented, generous (3 necklaces, that’s crazy!) and on top of all, she comes from the same region as me in France (Isere represent!)

(And she still has some beautiful necklaces to swap!!)

I haven’t finish the sarouel yet, but here some bit of pieces:

 Then, an sarouel for a little girl called Eirin: brown, pink and purple, with a little  whirligig, very girly!

And last but not least, a little “turbulette”  for a 4 month-old baby boy, in brown velours fabric.

(I am not quite sure how you call a “turbulette”  in English? Angel nest? Baby sleeping bag?? Please advise!)
