Today when I opened my mail box I had a little parcel waiting for me… Patience is not my middle name so I ripped the wrapping off instantly and all the sudden I was surrounded by a delicious chocolate smell coming from inside the package…

Buttons assortment - Chocolate square shaped - Made in polymer clay

Earring - "Baba au rhum" style - Made in polymer clay

You may have guessed where they come from? It is part of a swap with the talented Naïs Crea (our second swap now, but I am really fond of her creations…). My part of the swap was a set of red fabrics and ribbons and look here what she did with them… simply beautiful!

I am in a bag moon at the moment (obviously my beret moon wasn’t a great success so I decided to change… for now). Bellow is my first try, a small black bag in cotton. I am not convince with the shape but it is the first time I  sew a zipper and I must say I am quite proud of it!

Recto is a tribute to the mythical movie ”The endless summer”

Verso

Fabric = Black heavy cotton from Spotlight – Paint= Pebeo Secalor Opaque (Perle Moire)

Next on the plan, a large travel bag from a book I borrowed at the library “Make your own handbag” as well as one inspired by Bo (she had the kindness to take the time to send me a sketch of this beautiful red bag she made)

It is my third trial of this 6-pants-beret – I won’t even show you the two first one it is so ridiculous!

This one probably doesn’t look too bad on the picture but in reality it is definitely too small…

RZ2

I am quite obstinate so I know I will try again but I think I will wait a bit for that!

RZ1

It should fit a little girl so if you are interrested to have it, just let me a comment on this post and I will send it to you.

In the meantine, I can just be jalous of the beautiful one made by Parfum du Ciel recently… Gree!

Pattern = A mix from Miss Mais’s tutorial, a book I found in the library (The hat book – Juliet Bawden) and a knitted beret from Katmandu  – Fabric : Red heavy cotton from Spotlight – Model: Natalie

OooOo

Swap with K-Rine #1

I have met K-Rine though her lovely blog “K-Rine & Hand“. Her secret weapon? Her beautiful little knitted berets…

I couldn’t resist so I proposed a deal she couldn’t refuse…I had this beautiful mustard-colored wool sitting in my boxes… I had tried at least 3 times to knit a hat with it but without success (too big, too small, too strange!). So the challenge for Karine will be to knit one of her cute beret with this wool…

And I must say she surpass herself:

P1000406

  1. An amazing beret just like the one I have dreamt about! With a  oh so cute coordinated knitted flower.
  2. Beautifull mittens and matching bolero (yellow and red beacause she knew I love red…)
  3. A lovely bag embroided “Graines de Folie”

I have been really spoiled, don’t you think?

OoooOOo
