I have met K-Rine though her lovely blog “K-Rine & Hand“. Her secret weapon? Her beautiful little knitted berets…

I couldn’t resist so I proposed a deal she couldn’t refuse…I had this beautiful mustard-colored wool sitting in my boxes… I had tried at least 3 times to knit a hat with it but without success (too big, too small, too strange!). So the challenge for Karine will be to knit one of her cute beret with this wool…

And I must say she surpass herself:

P1000406

  1. An amazing beret just like the one I have dreamt about! With a  oh so cute coordinated knitted flower.
  2. Beautifull mittens and matching bolero (yellow and red beacause she knew I love red…)
  3. A lovely bag embroided “Graines de Folie”

I have been really spoiled, don’t you think?

OoooOOo

She  received my postage which travelled all the way down from New Zealand to France…

So it is not a secret anymore, and I can now show you what I have made for MavaCre.

The Sweet bag

Pattern Sweet Bag, Green linen and cotton from Spotlight, self cover button from Esquisite Stitch, Green and brown ribbon from Spotlight.

Fabric necklace

I choose a chocker necklace model as she doesn’t like too long necklace.

Apparently, she liked it, I am sooooo happy!

And a big THANKSto Magalie from Les doigts dans la Confiture who organised this lovely Swap

Edit 22nd of June: And a other reason to go and have a look on Mavacre’s blog! You have until tomorrow to go on her blog and let her a comment to win a little gift… Happy birthday to your blog Mavacre!

It is all about bags today!

(don’t ask me why…)

First, you have until the 24th of May to visit the blog of Coton and Champignons and let her a little comment for her birthday:

Then, you can have a look to Papoose website. It is an Australian based compagny who sells everything you need for felting as weel as a range of crafts made with felted wool. It is really something I would love to do, but it seems quite hard work!

You find also on their site a lot of information about felting. Definitly a must-go!

Origami…

My first try of an origami bag is a muff. The fabrics I used are too thick, and it was impossible to put the press studs at the right place… Without speaking about the handles which, in my view, should have been sewed before the lining

I used the following tutorial from a French women’s magazine called Avantages. I think it can be a very original bag, but I need to do a second try to be entirely convinced by the pattern.

Because Irishwoman loves rounds (this is well known indeed)

A little gift for my friend Natalie:

You may think she is spoilled?

Not at all!

Because now, she will have to use it or I will be offended…
