It is my third trial of this 6-pants-beret – I won’t even show you the two first one it is so ridiculous!

This one probably doesn’t look too bad on the picture but in reality it is definitely too small…

RZ2

I am quite obstinate so I know I will try again but I think I will wait a bit for that!

RZ1

It should fit a little girl so if you are interrested to have it, just let me a comment on this post and I will send it to you.

In the meantine, I can just be jalous of the beautiful one made by Parfum du Ciel recently… Gree!

Pattern = A mix from Miss Mais’s tutorial, a book I found in the library (The hat book – Juliet Bawden) and a knitted beret from Katmandu  – Fabric : Red heavy cotton from Spotlight – Model: Natalie

OooOo

I haven’t posted for the past few weeks but I was waiting for a sunny day to take pictures.

I finally found one, as well as an amazing top model to pose for me…

So, first, what’s best than an Obi belt to emphasize our wasp waist?

zoom-4

And to give your body an amazing shape…

ceinture-2

I tell you, this belt his magic!

Pattern : Home made (Tutorial Here) – Fabric: Black and grey coton from Spotlight

And to go with the beld, I sewed a matching top.

 top-1

I really like the shape given by the pattern (initially, a dress, but I shortered it), especially the wide sleeves.

I will definitely use the pattern again, for a dress or a jacket.

Pattern : Vogue Easy – Fabric: Black and grey coton from Spotlight

You may not remember, but we swapt with Carole, a gorgeous bag and its matching headband v.s an outfit for his coming little baby boy.

Check first what I received… isn’t it gorgeous??

Carole received her package, so I can now show you what I have made for her:

Carole loves sarouels…

So I made one for his little baby, with a matching kimono-inspired top:

Sarouel : Pattern Calixe from Citronille size 6 months, cream-colored linen,  Pebeo Secalor paint color brown moire, and star-shaped buttons all from Spotlight

Kimono: Pattern P’tites Mimines (Tutorial in English here),  Brown linen , Cotton fabric and star-shaped buttons all from Spotlight.

And speaking about “Les P’tites Mimines”, if you want to take part of the game she currently organized on her blog, clik on the picture bellow:

Good luck me everybody!!

It is a French proverb for the month of May (we have a proverb for every month in France) which I could translate by :” In May, do whatever you want to do!”

And it is exactly what I am doing, to follow this advice given by Un matin

Again, I used the same pattern  I used to sew this top and this top, but this time, for a black top (What an innovation!!!)

(Nop, I am not yet bored to sew the same top ever and ever again!)

This time, I used a very thin cotton fabrics, a bit harder to sew.

I used a green ribbon for the armhole and, that’s about all!

Fabric: Light black cotton and green and gray ribbon from Spotlight

My little tip: Use a very thin needle to sew this type of fabric (7/10) otherwise, it can quickly become a bloodshed…(Yes, of course, it happened to me!)

Pile ou face?

A sarouel for big girl this time, inspirated by the talented Parfum du Ciel.

Front side

As you may have see, I sewed a little fairy with balloon on the front side.

  And for the back side,

It is a little ladybird trying to find its way up!

Pattern : Freestyle!

Fabric: Brown linen and wood ladybird from Spotlight

I really love this cute ladybird and I can say for sure that you will see it on many of my sewing!

Just like that…

This time, I try to sew a trouser… And the result is not too bad!

I slightly  completly changed the pattern in order to avoid all the hard work (like sewing a zip and that kind of crasy stuffs!). All sweet!

This pants will travel a bit and should land in the mail box of my friend Estelle in new Caledonia.

And yes, it is always sunny like that in New Zealand!
