She received her package so I can’t show you what I sent to her. Her????

Yes, I am talking about her:

Nais Crea (36)

She wanted a top like this one here with bright colors like blue, orange pink and green…

Colors in bits by bits… here and there…  Not easy… but all is in the details…

And I sew a matching necklace to go with the top …

A sarouel for big girl this time, inspirated by the talented Parfum du Ciel.

Front side

As you may have see, I sewed a little fairy with balloon on the front side.

  And for the back side,

It is a little ladybird trying to find its way up!

Pattern : Freestyle!

Fabric: Brown linen and wood ladybird from Spotlight

I really love this cute ladybird and I can say for sure that you will see it on many of my sewing!

What’s new today?

This time, I try to sew a trouser… And the result is not too bad!

I slightly  completly changed the pattern in order to avoid all the hard work (like sewing a zip and that kind of crasy stuffs!). All sweet!

This pants will travel a bit and should land in the mail box of my friend Estelle in new Caledonia.

And yes, it is always sunny like that in New Zealand!

I didn’t talk to you yet about “Les P’tits Grain de Mais”. It is one of my favorite French sewing blogs.  She sews beautifull clothes mainly for children. Her fabric choices, her patterns, and her creativity are amazing.

I went crazy for her awesome sarouel for kids:

Sarouel Les p'tis Grains de Mais

Sarouel Les p

And, kindly, she put a tutorial on her website. So I had to try! The tutorial is very easy to follow. I love the pleats and the fit of the fabric.

My only change was to put a waistcloth rather than an elastic. So it can be adjusted more easily.

My Man (who usually find everything I sew “strange”), really likes it this time, and I have now to sew one for his  goddaughter. I was thinking about using velours fabric this time. Any advise?

Ole!

This poncho is for Awen, the daughter of my friend Florence, who is, I must say, the cuttest girl in New Caledonia…

The pattern and fabrics comes from Here

Picmoicietcoudmoica provides kits and patterns for children. Have a look on their website, it is really beautifull. I love the design of their clothes and shapes are really easy to made. The originality is all in the little details as the snails or the end of the drastrings…

I was scarred to sew fleece fabrics but to my astonishment , it is a really nice fabric to sew. I cheated a bit for the finishing and used a pinking shears… A really good tool I recommend for all the lazy dressmaker as me.

Spring is coming!

Where?

In France of course!

Because here, it is still winter summer, with its amazing cold warm days.

To celebrate spring ( and her blog’s two years) , Lila Fanfreluche organised a little contest. The rules? To design a creation with spring as theme. Easy? Not really… Cause of course, I woke up at the last minute, and I have  less than 3 hours to sew something…

And for the winner??? Shuuuuuuutt…it’s a surprise…

Same pattern as the others top.

I obviously really like this pattern, it is easy to sew, and the shape is really confortable (perfect to hide my “little” belly, which never NERVER want to go away, despide  all my effort)

I slightly modified the pattern to obtain a wrapover top. As you can see the result, it doesn’t look  as it should, simply because I cut a piece in the wrong side, and I didn’t have enought fabrics to cut it again…

Nervermind… One day…

On cloud nine…
